BARISTA - BARISTA LEAD - $18.00 Per Hour ( Cafe does not Interfere with tips)

Responsibilities & Description:

-Knowledgeable of coffee culture 
-Multitasking of making beverages quickly and efficiently.
-Working our POS when needed 
-Driving sales and pitches to customers
-Assisting customers with orders and ensuring exceptional customer experiences
-Opening and closing procedures
- Strong time management skills 
-Checking orders for quality and accuracy
-Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines including cooking time/temperature control
-Other reasonable assigned duties/ tasks as per business need

Qualifications: 

-Minimum of 1+ years as a barista in specialty coffee and operating manual espresso machines
-Knowledge of dial-in shots and creating latte art
-Must be able to work weekends and some holidays 
- Great Leadership Skills & open to training a Jr. Barista 
-Must help stay in compliance with the Department of Health
-Must be reliable
-Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced food, and retail environment
-Must meet the position's physical demands, including standing for extended periods, bending, pulling, pushing, carrying up to 50 pounds, etc.
-The NYC Food Safety Handler Certificate is a significant plus but anyone without will be expected to get one within a month of hiring.


Prep Chef $16 Per Hour
Overview :
The Prep Cook is to assist in the preparation of Caribean dishes in the kitchen. They will perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes. Must be able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. They will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.

Responsibilities :
-Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
-Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible

-Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking 

-Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc. 

-Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food, etc.

Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc., and assist the Line Cook when needed

-Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc. 

-Ensure all food and other items are stored properly 

-Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines 

-Perform other kitchen duties as assigned

Requirements :
-Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
-Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils 

-A team player with good communication skills
-Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure 

-Very good physical condition and endurance 

-Must have a food handler license

-Must be able to commit to early work hours
